3. Legal Obligations and Rules of Professional Conduct

When giving closing opinions, lawyers are subject to generally applicable legal obligations and to the rules governing the professional conduct of lawyers.[1]

[1] These include the duties opinion givers have to their own clients.  Counsel to opinion recipients also have duties to their clients, including duties relating to closing opinions.
