- Become a member of the State Bar of Texas
Most likely, you either are or are not a member of the Texas bar. Only members of the Texas bar are eligible to become members of the Business Law Section and this website.
- Become a member of the Business Law Section, State Bar of Texas
Go to your “My Bar” page upon signing into the State Bar of Texas’ website, www.texasbar.com . There you have an opportunity to sign up for the Business Law Section. Our dues are $30.00 per year.
- Log in to www.texasbusinesslaw.org.
You can log in at the top right or from the Log In Page. Your initial user name and password are the same as those you use to log in to www.texasbar.com . Please take the time to go to “My Profile”, located in the footer, to change your user name to your real name and add any other information about yourself and your practice that you desire other Members of the Section to know.
WHAT IF I AM NOT ELIGIBLE?
We believe lawyers licensed in other jurisdictions and perhaps other nonlawyers will be interested in our content.
Currently, non-Members can access:
- Articles from the Texas Journal of Business Law;
- Texas and national standards for legal opinions on our Legal Opinions Committee page;
- News items submitted by committees for the News section; and
- Summaries of other content on the site. We are working on providing the ability to purchase individual items on the website or a “day pass” for people who are not members of the Texas Bar and the Business Law Section. If you are interested in the content on this site, email info@texasbusinesslaw.org with your name and contact information and what content you are seeking to access.
