Web Site Update (Phase II) is complete

The Web Site Committee has completed the second phase of the SBOT BLS website update.

Thanks to everyone for their patience as the committee has continued the updating of the SBOT BLS website. Phase One was the transition to a content management system (Plone). Phase One had been completed and up-and-running for some time, but the somewhat complicated layout left much to be desired from an aesthetic and user standpoint and many of the powerful features remained hidden from users and visitors. We are excited to have now completed Phase Two, which involved a transition to a new hosting server, as well as a moderate revamp of the look and feel of the site, and implementation of some new workflows (more information on that to come).

The new BLS web site is now live.

It has taken close to two years for the new site to be up-and-running the way we wanted it to be. The new site will make it easier for committees to make content available to the Section membership, and the new site also provides a solid foundation for expanding how the Section serves its members.
